NSB Shark Hunters is headquartered on the world-famous New Smyrna Beach and has locations serving Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Melbourne Beach, Cocoa Beach, and St. Augustine. You can meet your guide at one of our locations and take your chances with the legends of the sea. Join us in the evening, and relax as the sun sets to your back and the moon rises on the horizon with a rod in your hands. Spectating is ALWAYS free, so bring your family along with you and share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with everyone! Kids of all ages are welcome to try their luck in these waters, but anglers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All spectators & participants are required to sign a waiver, available just below.
Since you’ll be shore fishing, there’s no need for life vests. Your excursion will be catch, tag, and release. Your guide will provide chairs and water, but you should bring some snacks to stay refreshed throughout the experience.
All equipment will be provided, including rods, rigs, and bait. If you are staying on the beach, we can come to you! Please call for details.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need a fishing license or shark permit?
Anglers 16 and older need a Florida saltwater fishing license and an FWC shore-based shark fishing permit, which requires completing the FWC online shark fishing course. Minors 15 and under do not need a license or shark permit. Use the links above to get both before your trip.
What kinds of sharks can we catch?
Depending on the season and conditions, our anglers target Bull, Hammerhead, Blacktip, Lemon, and Tiger Sharks right from the beach.
Is shark fishing kid-friendly? Can my family watch?
Yes! Spectating is always free, and kids of all ages are welcome to fish. Anglers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all spectators and participants must sign our online waiver.
What should I bring?
Just bring snacks to stay refreshed. We provide all fishing equipment, including rods, rigs, and bait, and your guide will bring chairs and water. Since you'll be fishing from shore, no life vests are needed.
Do you keep the sharks?
No. Every trip is catch, tag, and release. NSB Shark Hunters is a proud participant in NOAA Fisheries' Cooperative Shark Tagging Program, which helps scientists study Atlantic sharks.
